You will:

1.  Learn to demonstrate a basic and applied understanding of how to use your digital camera features such as: presets (sports, macro, landscape, etc.), auto settings, ISO settings, white balance, light metering modes, exposure compensation values, shutter-priority, aperture priority, and regular or fill flash.



2.  Learn how to transfer images to your computer, resize, rotate, straighten, crop, sharpen, unsharpen, adjust tonal range, fix underexposed images, fix overexposed images.

 


3.  Learn to remove, replace, and adjust color, desaturate, tone, make black and white from color, and use digital filters.

 


4.  Learn to create a panorama, change/faux depth of field, create motion, closeups, burning and dodging and remove unwanted items by cloning, masking and removing or replacing backgrounds.

 


5.  Learn to participate in the creative process where you create images that demonstrate an understanding of design concepts such as the role that line, color, shape, form, texture, and pattern play in photography.

 


6.  Learn learn to develop your skills in using digital images as a means of literal and creative expression for both personal and professional use.

 


7.  Learn to discuss and respond to the form and content of photographic images as you develop your understanding of digital imaging/design terminology and how it is reflective of yourself, your culture and your world.
